B-Mob · Dev Log #3

B-Mob Goes Public, and a New Discord Server!

The between-floor loadout screen — Your Loadout panel on the left showing bombs, range, speed, fuse, relics and curses; the Coin Shop on the right offering Curse Protector, Shield, and Extra Shield Slot. A Next Floor button sits at the bottom.
The between-floor breather. Spend your coins, count your curses, and brace for what's next.

This is the one I've been looking forward to. V0.2.1 is live, the password is gone, and B-Mob is now open to absolutely anyone. Go play it on Itch.io.

Interface Cleanup

The v0.2 build had a Unicode rendering problem that left several UI elements looking broken — garbled characters where there should have been clean symbols. Rather than patch the rendering, I went through the interface and replaced every problematic symbol with a proper icon. It actually came out cleaner than what I had before, so there's that.

Run Ended screen — Floor 3, YOU DIED, Caught in the grubby hands of a crawler. Stats: 3 enemies killed, 11 bombs placed, 11 walls destroyed, 80 steps taken, 1:17 total time. Curses: Heavy Load, Short Arm. Relics: Slow Field, Rampage.
Floor 3. 11 bombs placed, 3 enemies killed. The crawler didn't care.

Come Join the Discord

I've opened a Discord server for B-Mob, and I really hope you'll come say hello. I'm genuinely excited to hear what people think — what's fun, what's confusing, what's making you want to throw your keyboard. All of it is useful. Jump in here.

Good Timing

I'm stepping away from development for a couple of weeks, so this feels like exactly the right moment to open the doors. The game gets to breathe, people get to play it, and I get to come back to a pile of feedback I'm already looking forward to reading. If you try it and have thoughts — however small — please share them. That's what the Discord is for.

See you on the other side.
